About Me

I’m a writer, editor, and author who lives in a northeastern Massachusetts mill town—the same one that Jack Kerouac was from—with my husband, daughter, and three crazy rescue cats. I love books, traveling, and hiking, and am a huge fan of European crime dramas.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an editor for five magazine titles and have written hundreds of articles as both an editor and a freelancer. I was also the editor in chief of a media company for five years.

I’ve published several short stories in various magazines, journals, and anthologies, and am the author of The Blue Bottle, a middle-grade adventure novel with sea monsters and a female protagonist, published by North Country Press in September 2018. My second novel, The River Is Everywhere, will be published in March 2023 by Vine Leave Press.

Some of my favorite books (in no particular order) include Peace Like a River by Leif Enger; The Shipping News by Annie Proulx; Townie by Andre Dubus III; The Girl Who was Saturday Night by Heather O’Neill; Enon by Paul Harding; Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles; and Charles Dickens’ Tale of Two Cities.
