Upcoming Event: Le Petit Rassemblement des Artistes Franco-Américain: A Celebration of Modern Expression

I’m proud to be among the speakers invited to present their work at the Franco-American Collection at the University of Southern Maine‘s petit-rassemblement on November 2. I will be talking about my second novel, The River Is Everywhere, and will have copies of the book for sale. The event will take place at LA Arts in Lewiston at 1 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. I hope to see you there!

  1. Hi, Emilie–

I am the creative nonfiction editor of Resonance, and after reading Joan Vermette’s review of The River Is Everywhere, I very much wanted to read it. After I got the book, I raced through it in two days, hoping that all would turn out well for Ernest as he careened from adventure to adventure. In short, the novel carried me along the way all good books do. And I cared about Ernest, CL, and the other characters who helped him. I especially liked how he ended up going to the school he had been running away from.

Wish I could come to Lewiston on November 2 to hear you and the other writers, but unfortunately I am busy that day.

    Best,

    Laurie Meunier Graves
